Consulting, contracting, editing and website help — usually some combination. A first conversation is free, and email is the fastest way in. For many good causes, the fee is…free! Dave has served on several local Boards of Directors (examples: Hand Me Ups Store, Public Gallery of Carrboro, Dispute Settlement Center) and helped many more with bilingual Finance and Homebuying seminars, trades training, and more.
Cohousing and community development
Contract project management, training and consulting for cohousing groups and collaborative developments: feasibility, building specifications, contractor relations, and keeping a volunteer group moving from idea to occupancy. He has done this from both sides — as consultant to the Carrboro Collaborative Development Association, and as a resident of Pacifica Cohousing.
Building and property
- Contractor bid review — a second opinion on somebody else’s numbers, before you sign.
- Project management for owners who are building or renovating and do not want to run it themselves.
- Licensed general contractor — new construction, whole-house renovations and remodeling.
- Licensed real estate broker — buyer agency for clients across Orange, Durham, Alamance and Chatham counties. Associated previously with ClaytonCommercialRealty, Keller Williams, Community Realty.
Editing and writing

Small, fast, plainly built websites for people and organizations who would rather not think about websites — and who want to be able to change a paragraph themselves afterwards.
